Rendez-vous Limoilou – Canada 150 (en)

August 26th and 27th 2017

Rendez-vous Limoilou is the new festive event that Limoilou en vrac is anouncing for Canada’s 150th anniversary.
Great variety of activities for everybody, in collaboration with many organisims and actors of Limoilou.

The event is going to take place at the Cartier-Brébeuf National Historic Site and l’Anse-à-Cartier Park.

PROGRAMATION

Saturday, August 26th

First Nations Place

11am-7pm - Handcraft demonstration and sale, information and native food stands.

11am - Opening ceremony with a Huronne-Wendat nation representative and welcoming speech. Outside near the shaputuan.

11h30am - Eastern Sound pow wow tambourine group (Innus and Atikamekw) with hoops dance by Marie-Céline Einish (Naskapie) and traditionnal pow wow dancers. Outside near the shaputuan.

12h30pm - Tale with Nicole O’Bomsawin (Abénakise). Under the shaputuan.

1h30pm - Beading class with Donna Larivière (Anishinabe). Under the shaputuan.
​Traditional inuit games with Deseray Cumberbatch (Inuk). Outside near the shaputuan.

3pm - Traditional skill games with Nicole O’Bomsawin (Abénakise). Outside near the shaputuan.

4pm - Eastern Sound pow wow tambourine group (Innus and Atikamekw) with hoops dance by Marie-Céline Einish (Naskapie) and traditionnal pow wow dancers. Outside near the shaputuan.

5pm - Conference on the First Peoples with Alexandre Bacon (Innu). ). Under the shaputuan.

11am à 4h30pm : Animations that are promoting a healthy lifestyle and active means of transportation for youth and adult, including Patro Zone. Toy box available in collaboration with Accès-Loisirs Québec.
